1. Two pre-boiled maize on the comb.
  2. Two glasses green peas (Minji).
  3. Two medium-sized tomatoes.
  4. Two medium-sized onions.
  5. Three carrots.
  6. Spices.
  7. Avocado (Optional)


  1. Remove maize from comb. (Must be soft maize)
  2. Boil the minji and carrots in salted water until you achieve desired texture. (I like mine not mushy).
  3. When green peas are done, Saute onions in some oil until golden brown.
  4. Add in the tomatoes and cook on low heat until it turns to a thick paste.
  5. Throw in the maize and the pre-boiled minji and carrots.
  6. Fry in the paste for five minutes stirring occasionally to ensure you don’t burn them.
  7. Season with desired choice of spices. For this recipe i used, Black pepper, Royco Beef cubes and garlic powder.
  8. Serve hot with avocado or strong tea.
