Sautéed Matoke

INGREDIENTS

  1. Matoke Bananas (Peeled)
  2. 2 large onions
  3. Black pepper
  4. Salt
  5. Turmeric powder
  6. Paprika

METHOD

  1. First boil the matoke in salted water till almost done. Don’t cook them fully.
  2. Set aside and drain the water.
  3. Saute your onions in 2 tbsp of cooking oil till translucent.
  4. Add the curry powder and turmeric powder.
  5. Pour you pre-boiled matoke in the mixture and still gently not to break them till they are covered with the spices.
  6. Add the salt, black pepper and paprika then cover and lower the heat to medium low and cook for 2 minutes then remove from the fire.
  7. Serve hot with beef stew or stew of your choice.
